“Happily Ever Ebook” is a project between editor Kris Emery and me for all entrepreneurs trying to publish their ebook with ease and speed to a professional standard. We joined forces to help writers with the overwhelm that comes with self publishing an ebook. It is hard to find good editors and designers that cater to individual needs and work to a high standard. All the while the writer has to additionally coordinate all schedules and make sure all work is delivered on time for a timely launch. We help these clients with our skills and make the publishing process as easy as a fairy tale dream.

We work alongside and simultaneous and all the client has to do is to provide manuscript, their final vision and assess/ cross check all work being produced and edited, so that everyone is kept in the loop and the process can continue.

After a short time only (1-2weeks) the final ebook is complete and looks and reads beautifully. The writer can spend much more time on marketing and launch planning than if he/she was to organise everything herself.

THE LOGO

Happily Ever Ebook logo

The logo developed for Happily Ever Ebook.

As the whole theme of the program is fairy tales, the logo had to reflect that while still looking fresh and modern. It had to appeal to the female solo-preneur market and excite people as soon as they enter the opening page of the website.

I created hand lettered initials that bind the words together in a playful but classic fairy tale gothic look. The flat simple treatment of the ornaments and type brings the logo back to the 21.Century.

The logo in wide format as a facebook or other promotional banner/header.

THE INFO MATERIAL

The program comes with an info pack at the start to help customers get a good overview over what they will receive and how it all works. The branding and colour scheme is continued here.

It helps to see who is doing what at which time and the colour coded (Kris: pink, Ina: orange) division of tasks helps customers see how it will all come together.

In the info pack decor is kept to a minimum to not distract too much from the content, as here understanding of all info is key.

THE WEBSITE

Happily ever Ebook has a title page. That means you enter the page through a click after seeing this intro title page. It resembles the first page in a big fairy tale story book, where the excitement builds after seeing the “Once upon a time” start. The website was to remind users of this feeling when landing on the page. They are supposed to “dive” into the website and start envisioning their own fairy tale product.

The sales page part of the website describing the issues with self-publishing.

The description of the elements of the program to show the benefits and features.

The FAQ page has easy to use drop down open effects.

All pages have custom created illustrations added on the sides and dividers, ornaments etc, added to split up the pages visually and contextually.

Everything is kept in the pink orange purple blue colour theme.

For a fun, but subtle effect some of the illustrations appear animatedly, like a drop down or fade in appearance.

This makes the scrolling experience more exciting without losing the reader’s interest in the content.
