THE BRIEF

Leeza Baric is an Author and Editor who has a second passion: empowering women and inspiring women to love themselves and live a life of passion and purpose through articles, online TV episodes, interviews and so on.

My client needed a redesign of an existing logo that was part of her range of services. She had it designed as part of her website but now wanted to give the brand its own space and identity.

Wobbly Woman is a brand that speaks to woman of larger size and who tell their stories in TV interview format. There are weekly meetups and other resources to live a rich life as a “wobbly woman”.

Before, the logo was part of Leeza Baric’ author website and had a matching look.

THE PROCESS

The Business already had a previous logo which featured some elements that the client liked but it was too close to her personal logo and didn’t have an identity of it’s own.

The challenge was to keep the good and bring out the essence of the WW brand to make it shine on its own.

The brand’s feel was supposed to be warm, swirly and exuberant, with a womanly touch that was not overly girly. The colours stayed, the brand evolved.

From the inspiration images, I could also get a good idea of what the brand was about. A quirky, handmade look was the right direction to go in.

From the final choice of concepts, the perfect arrangement was then chosen.

THE RESULTS

The logo is completely hand lettered, no pre-existing typeface is used which makes the design absolutely unique. The final design includes a colour gradient and a rough brush finish.

The client was very happy with how well the design integrated into her own style and author brand, while at the same time showing another side of her work.

"I've worked with many graphic designers but Ina was the best. She took time to discuss my needs and to understand what I wanted. She was professional, open to my ideas and a pleasure to work with. I barely had to make any changes because her work was amazing and I was surprised at how easy and smooth the whole process was. I look forward to working with Ina in the future and I highly recommend her services. Thank you Ina. I love what you did for me."
