I have been working furiously at new illustration work, simply because I finally know who and what I want to be as an Illustrator. The work I have been making is an amalgomation of the before rather separate styles present in my work. I realized that I love to set my work up with ink lines, sometimes smooth and even (although I think I am unable to draw a completely straight line 🙂 ) and sometimes very irregular with ink blotches and so on. I then can choose to colour it either flat or more shaded in digital ways or with watercolour. I still like to do watercolour by itself but it takes a bit longer and I think I will be more flexible and fast with the ink lines.
I also dabbled with application ideas for the illustrations. I think I would love to see my work on actual items like bed linen or tea towels and cards are another thing I really like to do. For the Design, packaging and book covers are really something I like to do.
Later this year I will update the website with a whole set of new stuff but for now a small peek at what I have been doing:
