I’m safely back in NZ and had the most awesome time in Germany. Had lots and lots of time with my family and friends and been all over Germany, from Hamburg to Munich and lots to see and do.

Through my sister I heard of Philippe Leroyer, a game designer and photographer. He had just recently designed a memory type game about the building of the Eiffel Tower for international visitors to France and was now looking for an illustrator to present it to the editor. The aim of the game is to flip the right cards to build your own Eiffel Tower the fastest.

After contacting him I had to create some design concepts of towers and action cards and go through several rounds of selection, because he had a few illustrators answering to his call.  In the end I was selected!!

So over the last 2 weeks I have been drawing 4 very detailed Eiffel Towers and special action cards to create a complete game, so that it is playable.

I chose to draw them in a more classic Victorian style as that was the time the Eiffel Tower was built and the game is set in the time as a race to who builds his tower the fastest. I created black and white line drawings and turned them all into printable cards.

Let’s hope the editor likes it and it gets actually made!
