While reading through the big collection of Edgar Allan Poe I have out from the library at the moment, I realized that this monster of a book would be way too big to read in a few weeks even if I try real hard ;-). So I thought,” why not buy it?” and went on a search for a cool looking copy. In the process of roaming around on the net for a nice one, I found the Barnes and Noble “Leather Bound Classics Series Collection” and fell pretty much of my chair seeing it. It’s just so beautiful. I want all of them. Seriously. I had a bad attack of shopping mania until I discovered that I am, like always, in a financial condition you could describe as “broke” or “unfairly poor”. So I guess I’ll just have to wait until I can afford a few but in the meantime I will tell you people out there to get one or two of those books that have a special place in your life, be it from childhood or just because you love the stories. They are just beautifully bound and really classic looking while definitely showing a contemporary modern touch. I’ll see if Poe will make it on my shelf.
