I had an awesome time yesterday going to “Curate” a fashion gallery where fashion designers can exhibit their collections and sell their latest pieces. I went to a night presentation of the latest collection of Kylee Davis who create great knitwear fashion. Me and my friend had a great time and there were some really cute pieces that I would love to wear. I got talking to the designer afterwards and I learnt a lot about working and selling design/fashion in other countries, as she stocks also in the UK and Japan. Through our conversation, Kylee also let me know that she is looking for an illustrator for her new collection which will be jungle inspired.
After some discussion the days after I got the job as her collection illustrator! The designs will be printed onto the knit pieces and also turned into knitted in versions.
