I am here with an update on the Kylee Davis designs I am working on!
We are now at the stage where we have decided on the snake shape and some of the colours. Also, the pattern has been decided and totally changed. We thought that it would be a great idea to reflect some of the knitting patterns of some of her pieces, which are created from either circles or a more arrow style jacquard pattern. So these have now been drawn into the snake pattern.
I have been working hard to create many cool flower shapes but at the moment it is still not quite right for the look that they are going for. The difficulty lies in creating an arrangement that looks realistically like a flower and that also remains clearly identifiable as snakes. I was sometimes wondering if I should change the snake shape to create different looks, but it doesn’t really help 🙂
Another thing I have been playing with was to add some extra ornamentation. But it doesn’t quite work either, so there is definitely some more work to be done and we are now at the hard stage where you could get stuck if you don’t soldier on 🙂
