I am on holiday at home at the moment! After a lot of work setting up my scarf label Daughters of Neverland I have taken some time off to go and visit family and friends back home and to enjoy a bit more summer 🙂

I had an amazing time so far, not only catching up with people close to me but also on a creative level. I travelled to Barcelona for a few days and it has brought my creativity to another level! So much architecture to blow your mind, especially of course by Gaudi. I have been a fan of his work for a long time, and to see it all in real life was a humbling experience. I got inspired, fascinated and fired up by the grand gestures and clever details. Also, going into the actual Exhibition Pavilion by Mies van der Rohe was also a very surreal event. It is even more impacting when you wander through it than in a book.

We also kept a drawing journal, something I can only recommend on holiday. It makes you look at the site much more closely, sights literally etch themselves into your mind, and you automatically take the time to really soak up the atmosphere.

We also saw some really cool street art on our travels through the city as well.

Wandering through the streets, learning and seeing new things and trying great food was a great catalyst for my soul and my creativity. I didn’t know how much I needed something like this until I was there. It only shows again that we all need some time off, something new, something to feed our mind once in a while. I hope you all enjoy a great time too, be it on holiday or at home.
